Petley Wood is a privately owned, ancient woodland located in the historic town of Battle, East Sussex. A magical location steeped in history, even containing a Roman burial site.

We offer amazing, scenic, woodland views and the chance for all your incredible memories to be captured. There are multiple locations for pictures and videos, found throughout the woodland, enabling you to capture all those magical moments and remember them forever.
Various areas can be accessed, like the unique, quirky, and quite fascinating Petley Wood pond, which is found within the grounds. There are a multitude of areas that host outstanding features, with certain areas magnifying throughout the different seasons. For instance, the woodland is always full of bluebells in the spring, and certain areas in the woods naturally host more bluebells than others. There are fantastic paths that make for very easy access to the many areas. We can direct you and help you to find all the best locations for photos on your wedding day.
