Petley Wood itself is an ancient Woodland in an area of outstanding natural beauty with clear historic ties to the Bronze Age and the Romans. Close to the site of the Battle of Hastings, Petley Wood, with nearly 200 acres at our disposal, offers an unrivalled location
Our family bought Petley Farm over 20 years ago and over time, we've restored the woodland and allowed nature to rejuvenate while creating and maintaining pathways and bridlepaths throughout the ancient woodland.
As a family, we love the beauty of the woodland and all the nature that comes with the woods. So, when the time came to hold a family wedding, the woods was the natural choice.
This time was so magical, that we all felt it would be wonderful if we could let others experience the uniqueness of the woods as a wedding venue, in the same way.
We decided to maintain the wedding licence for an area in our woodland, so we could let others create their dream wedding in the woods - just as we had.
For our family weddings, we transformed the woodland in to a stunning, tranquil space, lit with fairy lights. We created a space surrounded by natural beauty to share with our family and close friends to make everlasting memories.
